ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

What really is the true essence of Christmas? For me, Christmas is LOVE. It's all about giving. It's not about receiving. It's not about how expensive or how cheap your gift is. What really matters is that you were able to help your co-person/people. And the gift that you gave was from the bottom of your heart.
Every 25th of December, we are celebrating this so called "CHRISTMAS"--the day when our Savior Jesus Christ was born.
Earlier thah December, you can see the christmas trees are being displayed already. Christmas lanterns, belens, and other christmas decorations. There are also carollers carolling from house to house. There are some family who aren't happy because they are not complete and they are far away from their family. It's kinda sad to know that, right?
The true essence of christmas? Helping people who need our help. Giving gifts with those childen in streets, etc. By just giving them some food or drinks or even money, we can now help them in our own simple ways. Merry Christmas!!! God Bless us all.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Nature is a gift from The Father Almighty. We must take good care all of His creations.
In our current generation, many people are just throwing their trashes everywhere. Plastics are everywhere. In farms, seas, lakes and even in rivers. Trashes are scattered all arond.
Air pollution by the cars, vehicles, motorcycles, are also one of the reasos why we are encountering this so called climate change. And so with the water pollution. Oils in the factories are being drppord in the rivers. Urines of people and animals were being bixed in seas, rivers, and other places. And we, people inside the mother earth were involved in this happenings.
How can we stop the this happenings or hiw can we help our mother earth? First of all, we must use the 3 R's which is the REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE. Second, throw our wastes properly. And most of all, be an environmental lover,as our action sticks together, for the world to be better.

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPURTUNITIES

Everyone of us has the right to be treated equally. No one is richer and no one is poorer. No one is weaker and no one is stronger. Men and women have the rights to be treated equally.

In our current generation, some people think that women are the weakest. They think that women doesn't deserve to be in our society. But come to think of it,many women are are now working in every part or corner around the world as a chef, teacher, police, doctor, engineer, or even one of the carpenters. Isn't it amazing? Isn't it exciting? See? Women are strong too. They can also do whatever men are are doing. Some women are also the one who is working to be able to give the needs of their family. Some are single mother but they tend to handle all by themselves supporting their child or children on their studies.

Outpouring Hearts and Minds Through Literacy and English Proficiency

All  of us are familiar with this so called English language right? But not all of us are good in this. I, myself is not good in speaking english also but I'm trying my best to go with it.
English is our universal language.English is widely used all over the world. Children about two-years old and above were able tot\ speak in english already. Imagine that?
Many Filipinos are excelling in different countries in the world because of this so called English language. English language has become a part of our lives. Through this, all people all over the world were able to understand each other.
Students are also practicing in using the universal language. Students are using this to be able to excel. In our current generation, being able to speak fluently in english is hardly idolized. The way they pronounced the words, the way they pronounced it with accent, the way they add styles in pronouncing it. It was just amazing and so pleasant to hear.
To those people who are not good in speaking English like me, have faith, have confidence. Do not afraid of commiting mistakes. You will learn fron your mistakes. And I also have things to recommend in becoming a good English speaker. You MUST  read and read and read english stories, novels, etc. You must also use the english language when talking to someone to practice it.
We all know that we are not perfect. Nobody is perfect. We are all commiting mistakes. But practicing English language makes it perfect.

SECOND GRADING(A REFLECTION)

Time flies really fast . During the first quarter, it is true that all of our past lessons were hard. And on our second quarter, I can say that it was harder though.
During the second quarter, I've learned so many things just like in the first quarter. I realized that it was not that easy tho. Especially on our math subject and all of the math-related subjects that we have. I am currently doing my best to understand math but I can't. I really can't and don't understand no matter how much effort I've inserted. In our ICT subject, I learned also on how to format texts, how to put a background color, background image in HTML tags, etc. In Filipino, we have learned the characters and happenings in every short stories we've tackled. There were so many morals I have learned in every stories we've discussed.

“I never DREAMED about success, I WORKED for it." as a saying goes. Those lessons we’ve tackled was not that easy .Eventhough I'm not that really good in academics, I am really trying my best to pass all the requirements. I , myself don't dare to give up. If others can, why can't I? I know that I can face and solve the problems or struggles that comes to my life. This character trait will lead me to my success. Moving on, I’ll  make my past a basis for me to grow and to develop in the future.

INTRAMURALS 2014

Intramurals 2014 was held at our school, Ilocos Sur National High School on September 18-20. Before the intramurals 2014, you can see that all of the players are busy---busy developing their skills in their certain sports. Basketball, taekwondo, table tennis, track and field, volleyball, etc... these are some of the sports that students participated.
During the intrams, many students were watching in different sports. They enjoyed watching especially in basketball (girls). They seemed so funny playing basketball. I, myself don't really enjoy the intrams because it was raining and I was lazy to walk from there to there. Before the
intrams was cancelled (because of the super
typhoon Mario), the taekwondo game was
already done. And I was also one of the players of this said sport. And I didn't expect that I was the one who brought home the bacon. But in general, I'm so happy though. I've enjoyed a little bit. It's our last year in high school so we must enjoy and let's make the most of it.

"MY TEACHER, MY HERO"

"MY TEACHER, MY HERO"

A teacher gives education to students. They teach students and help them develop the skills they have. They have been always there to help us in our difficulties. They're treating us as their own children. With them, we learned a lot of things. They taught us how to be a good leader. They are such an awesome teacher because other give importance to us. They make us feel loves as their own children. They will always be a part of our lives.

I just want to share this experience of mine. When I, myself quitted already in taekwondo, a teacher came to me and said, "Are you sure you're going to quit? Oh come'on, you can do it." And I was like, (I just smiled at him) and said, "I don't know if I'm still going to continue this sir, but we'll see." Then that night, I realized that my teacher was right. I can do it. If otherscan, why can't I? Right? A teacher like him gives me inspiration in life. After my game last September, I was like "Oh my God, is it true?" I was the one who brought home the bacon. I was not expecting that. That teacher was right. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Happy Teachers Day to all Teachers !
